On June 4th, WAAN Boston hosted a live-lab education session on how our brains processes confidence and subsequently impacts our investment decisions. Wharton alum Alyssa Dver, CEO of the American Confidence Institute, introduced the core components of Neurosciences and Investor Confidence, including biases, risk predictors, and the environment. Two entrepreneurs then took the stage to pitch their startups. The audience was asked to rate their interest, experience, and feelings about the opportunity both before and after each startup's pitch.Rebecca Liebman was first up and she pitched her personal finance literacy startup LearnLux. Chris Mutti followed with a pitch of his food recognition technology company FoodPhone. The ensuing discussion focused on being mindful when making investment decisions.
